Sound Immersions

A Sound Immersion, or Sound Healing, or Sound Bath, is a healing sound immersion and a meditation journey with the intent of healing through sound that a person or group of people can experience by listening to various instruments being played by certified Sound Healing Therapy practitioners.

FAQ's

How can sound be healing?

The instruments chosen for Sound Healing Immersions have vibrational and tonal qualities that help to shift and align the energy in the person or people receiving and experiencing it. The vibrations and tonal qualities create chemical changes in the brain, allowing the body to fully relax and go into the deeper state of Alpha waves. In this relaxed state, healing can take place on a holistic level–body, mind and spirit. The out-of-vibration-areas in the body are once again aligned through the various sounds, vibrational and tonal qualities.

Some people can experience strong emotions as the sounds help the body release energies that are no longer useful to their evolution. This is completely normal. The Sound Healing Therapists are sensitive to this energetic process and can offer compassionate support to the client during challenging release points, if need be.

What instruments are used?

Typically we use instruments that provide  pleasing vibrational, tonal or resonating sounds such as but not limited to: Hand-pan, chimes, chime box, Native American Flute, Udu, Ocean Drum, Bahia Drum, Tingsha bells, singing bowls and gongs.

What happens in your Sound Immersions?

The client is asked to lie down and is led through a series of relaxation techniques, bringing them into a relaxed state where healing can take place. Various instruments are played to help the client relax further. This helps them tune in to themselves and energetically release anything that no longer serves their evolution. At times, if it's agreeable to the client, certain small instruments like singing bowls or crystals may be placed on the body of the client to aid in clearing and releasing, providing a deeper resonant healing.

How long are your Sound Immersions?

Typically, these range from 45-minutes to an hour and a half in length, depending on the needs of the individual or group.

Where do your Sound Immersions take place?

Typically, we use a private space that has a clean, pleasing environment and atmosphere without disruptive surrounding noise; e.g. noise from a busy street or customers walking through. Or we can provide these services outdoors, if weather permits and is desired by the client.

How will I feel after a Sound Immersion experience?
The majority of people have reported feeling refreshed, relaxed and happy, with a deeper sense of well-being and calm. The positive energy and healing intent of the Sound Immersion permeates both the practitioners and the people in attendance, and can have a lasting effect for hours afterwards.

Do you work with a specific Hz frequency in your Sound Immersions?

Yes. Our crystal singing bowls are tuned to 432Hz, a Solfeggio frequency and they are used throughout. This Hz frequency is aligned with the heart chakra. Listening to a 432Hz frequency leads the client to greater levels of mental and emotional clarity and is associated with a higher level of spiritual development.
